This is a short story I found in one of my old sketchbooks a few weeks ago.
I wrote this in the mid-1990's. It was supposed to be part of book I was
making which compiled parodies of many famous kids books. These parodies
included: "Where the Mild Things Are", "The Babysitters Clubbed", "Sara,
Plain and Portly", "Smellaluna", "Furious George", and "The Tragic Schoolbus".
My girlfriend thought the book was too offensive to publish, so I abandoned
it and began working my first "Captain Underpants" story instead.
Even though "Furious George" never got published, I liked the "flip-page"
violence so much that I decided to use it in my new Captain Underpants book.
I dubbed this amazing technology: "Flip-O-Rama".
